Peanut Butter and Apple Topped Waffles

  • Ingredients

    1 (32-ounce) box waffle mix (and ingredients to follow package directions)
    3 tablespoons SKIPPY® peanut butter
    2 tablespoons butter
    1 large Granny Smith apple, peeled and sliced
    ¼ cup maple syrup
    2 tablespoons brown sugar
    1 tablespoon SKIPPY® peanut butter
    ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Instruction

    1. Prepare waffle mix according to package directions for 2 Belgian waffles, stirring in 3 tablespoons peanut butter. 
    2. Prepare waffles in Belgian waffle iron; keep warm. 
    3. In medium skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add apple slices and cook 3 minutes. Add maple syrup and remaining ingredients and heat until sugar is melted. 
    4. Serve over waffles.
