4 | Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced |
6 | tablespoons sugar, divided |
½ | teaspoon ground cinnamon |
2 | tablespoons water |
½ | cup quick-cooking oats |
¼ | cup all-purpose flour |
3 | tablespoons SKIPPY® Creamy Peanut Butter |
3 | tablespoons butter |
4 | cups vanilla ice cream |
Heat oven to 425°F.
Coat 8×8-inch pan with cooking spray.
In pan, toss together apples, 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle with water.
In medium bowl, combine oats, flour and remaining 1/4 cup sugar.
Cut in peanut butter and butter with pastry blender or two knives until mixture is size of small peas.
Sprinkle crumbs evenly over apples; cover with aluminum foil.
Bake crisp 20 minutes.
Remove foil; bake uncovered 20 minutes longer or until apples are tender and topping is crisp and golden.
Serve warm or at room temperature, topped with ice cream.
