What You Need to Know

About the recall:

From our family to yours, we want you to know that we take the quality of our products very seriously and apologize to our fans for this situation. Please know this recall only affects a very limited number, 9,353 cases, of SKIPPY® Reduced Fat Peanut Butter Spread and SKIPPY® Creamy Peanut Butter Blended with Plant Protein. Only this very small amount of product was affected. IMPORTANT: No other varieties or dates of SKIPPY® products are included in this recall.

States where the affected product was shipped: CA, CT, DE, FL, HI, IL, IN, KS, MA, MN, MO, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OK, PA and WI.

Here’s everything you need to know to see if your SKIPPY® product is part of the recall:

Step 1:

Verify that your SKIPPY® product is one of the affected UPC numbers. Check the UPC code on the side of the jar, where the store scans the product. If the UPC code is 37600-10520, 37600-10667, 37600-10499, or 37600-88095, please continue to step 2.

The production code information is on the top of the lid.

Step 3:

If your jar has a different “BEST IF USED BY” date than what is listed below, it is not part of the recall.

Step 4:

If your jar has the following dates for the corresponding UPC, it is part of the recall.

Step 5:

You can either return it to the store where purchased for an exchange or call Skippy Foods Consumer Engagement at 1-866-475-4779, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Central Time.

If you purchased an affected product at BJ’s, please call the Skippy Foods Consumer Engagement team at the number listed above rather than return to the store per the BJ’s return policy.
