SKIPPY® Peanut Butter Sweethearts
2 1/2 dozen cookies
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ cup SKIPPY® Creamy Peanut Butter Spread
½ cup butter
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Assorted colored sugars, as desired
30 milk chocolate hearts
- Heat oven to 350°F. In small bowl, combine flour and baking soda.
- In large bowl, beat together peanut butter and butter until smooth. Beat in sugars, egg and vanilla until blended. Stir in flour mixture until blended. Shape dough into 30 balls.
- Place colored sugars in small bowls. Roll dough balls in colored sugars and place 2-inches apart on parchment lined cookie sheets.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are light brown. Immediately press one chocolate heart in center of cookie. Remove to a wire rack. Cool completely.
